Hi there! We are The Luminous Pets - a high quality pet accessories brand based in Portland, Oregon.

Inspired by the unconditional love and charm of sharing a life with pets, we saw an opportunity to create and curate stylish pet products for petite housecats all the way to big, fluffy dogs.

Our Process

Our cat toys and snap-on bandanas are handcrafted in our Portland studio. We focus on supporting local shops and makers when we source our material.

All our cat toys use a blend of organic catnip and valerian root, locally grown in Washington State. Tags for our cat toys are made locally by a women-owned business in Oregon, and our vegan tags for our bandanas are laser engraved by a different women-owned business. We regularly work with local rescues to provide fundrasing items, donate financially, and gift our loose leaf blend so shelter cats waiting for their furever homes have something fun to enjoy.

From Pets to Furbabies

For me, family pets are a household necessity.

Growing up in Portland, Oregon, there was always at least one dog and a few cats within my home. I resonated with their energy, appreciated their unconditional love, and the way they would console us in times of need. From a young age, I viewed those furry loved ones as some of my closest family members.

In my lifetime, I have witnessed a perspective shift around the place that dogs and cats have in our family unit. I am part of a growing generation choosing to have pet-children over human-children.

For me, dogs and cats are not just pets, they are my furbabies. I do my best to provide them a happy, healthy and enriched life as a core family member.
